The Rittal 2566.000 is a pack of five earth straps, each 170 mm long with a 25 mm² cross-section and an M8 connection at both ends. They are used to bond the door or cover and the mounting plate of an enclosure into its protective earthing.

Typical applications
Doors, covers and mounting plates are bonded to the enclosure body with earth straps so that they are included in the protective earthing. On AX enclosures Rittal gives the connection options as the door or cover, the enclosure and the mounting plate; on VX enclosures the side panels and gland plates can be connected as well, all with M8 connections. Choose the length to span the distance between the two connection points and the cross-section to suit the protective conductor sizing of your installation; other lengths and cross-sections are listed separately. Rittal asks that its assembly instructions or PE conductor brochure for the relevant enclosure or case system are followed.
Rittal's accessory lists name this strap for 73 AX enclosures: 39 in sheet steel, 20 in stainless steel, 10 operating housings and 4 AX IT wall-mounted enclosures.
