Rittal AX 1180.000 is an IP66 sheet steel compact enclosure of 800 x 1000 x 300 mm (W x H x D) with a 745 x 975 mm mounting plate and a single door on two cam locks.
Key features
- Single door closing on two cam locks with 3 mm double-bit inserts; interchangeable hinge lets the door open from either side
- Zinc-plated mounting plate of 745 x 975 mm, 2.5 mm thick: about 0.73 m² for equipment
- Two size 5 gland plates in the base, so power and control cables can come in through separate plates
- 1.5 mm steel body, 2 mm door with an all-round foamed-in PU door seal; IP66 and IK10
- 800 mm width and 300 mm depth for larger plate-mounted builds
Typical applications
Machine and motor control panels, PLC panels with larger I/O counts, and distribution panels. At 52 kg as supplied, check the wall and fixings. 1181.000 is the 400 mm-deep version; 1280.000 adds height (800 x 1200 x 300 mm) and a 3-point lock. For hygiene areas or corrosive atmospheres, consider AX stainless steel; for a non-conductive housing, AX GRP.
Compliance
IP66 to IEC 60529: dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets. UL 50E Type 1, 3R, 4 and 12 (NEMA 1, 3R, 4, 12). Use glands rated at least as high to keep the rating.
