Product details
The Rittal AX 1003.000 is a 300 x 300 x 210 mm wall-mounted compact enclosure in brushed 1.4301 (AISI 304) stainless steel, rated IP66 and IK10. It is a small, square box for a local isolator, a short rail of terminals or a few control devices placed right at the machine, in areas that are hosed down or cleaned to food-hygiene routines.

Typical applications
Junction and terminal boxes beside conveyors, local isolation for a mixer or pump, and sensor connection points on filling and packing lines in food, dairy and beverage plants. Grade 304 handles routine washdown and everyday cleaning agents well; if chlorine-based sanitisers, salt air or chemical splash will reach the enclosure, specify 1.4404 (AISI 316L) instead.
Compliance
Protection category IP66 to IEC 60529: dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets. Type rated to UL 50E Type 1, 3R, 4, 4X and 12, and NEMA 1, 3R, 4, 4X and 12. Impact protection IK10, the highest IK code (20 joules).
