The Rittal AX 1031.000 is a landscape-format IP66 sheet steel compact enclosure, 380 x 300 x 210 mm (W x H x D). Because it is wider than it is tall, the 330 x 275 mm mounting plate favours horizontal runs of rail and terminals.
Key features
- Single door on one cam lock with a 3 mm double-bit insert; interchangeable hinge lets the door open from either side
- Zinc-plated mounting plate of 330 x 275 mm, 2 mm thick: about 0.09 m² for equipment
- One size 2 gland plate in the enclosure base for cable entry
- 1.25 mm steel body, 1.5 mm door, all-round foamed-in PU door seal; IP66, IK10
Typical applications
Terminal and marshalling boxes, small distribution for a single machine or plant item, and control interfaces fitted above or beside equipment where height is limited. The square 1380.000 (380 x 380 x 210 mm) adds 80 mm of plate height; 1033.000 is the narrower 300 mm-wide option. For washdown, coastal or chemical sites, step up to AX stainless steel or GRP.
Compliance
IP66 to IEC 60529: dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets. UL 50E Type 1, 3R, 4 and 12 (NEMA 1, 3R, 4, 12). Use glands rated at least as high to keep the rating.
