Rittal AX 1280.000 is an IP66 sheet steel compact enclosure of 800 x 1200 x 300 mm (W x H x D), with a 745 x 1175 mm mounting plate, a 3-point lock system and two gland plates in the base.
Key features
- 3-point lock system with a 3 mm double-bit insert, latching the door at three points; the hinge side can be swapped
- Mounting plate 745 x 1175 mm, 2.5 mm thick and zinc-plated, giving about 0.88 m²
- Cable entry through two size 5 gland plates in the enclosure base
- 1.5 mm steel body, 2 mm door with an all-round foamed-in PU door seal; IP66 and IK10
Typical applications
Larger machine and process control panels, and motor control or distribution built on one large mounting plate. At 63.5 kg as supplied, it needs a wall and fixings to suit. 1281.000 is the 400 mm-deep version; the two-door 1213.000 (1000 x 1200 x 300 mm) is wider but rated IP55. Where salt air, chemicals or regular washdown are expected, choose AX stainless steel or GRP.
Compliance
Rated IP66 to IEC 60529 (dust-tight, protected against powerful water jets) and UL 50E Type 1, 3R, 4 and 12, with matching NEMA ratings; Types 3R and 4 cover outdoor use.
