Typical applications
Protective bonding depends on each joint making a sound electrical contact. Contact washers are fitted at earthing and bonding points, under the nut or screw head, as part of that connection, for example where a conductor, earth strap or bonded part is fixed to the enclosure. Keep a supply of M5 washers with your build materials so that every M5 earthing point is made up the same way.
Rittal's AX accessory lists do not tie these washers to particular enclosures. Choose them by thread size to match the earthing bolt or screw, and follow the assembly instructions for the enclosure system when making up earth connections.
