The Rittal AX 1449.000 is a portrait GRP compact enclosure, 400 x 600 x 200 mm (W x H x D), with a polycarbonate viewing window in the door, rated IP56 and IK09. It pairs the window with a 305 x 525 mm mounting plate in 3 mm zinc-plated steel.

Typical applications
Useful where metering, a controller display or status lamps must stay visible without opening the door, with more plate height than the 400 x 400 mm version for protection devices and terminals: pump stations, irrigation and building-services plant outdoors. IP56 covers powerful water jets but is dust-protected rather than dust-tight; the solid-door 1446.000 is IP66. For long-term exposure to sunlight and rain, Rittal recommends spray-finishing the surface with a PUR paint to prevent visual deterioration.
Compliance
IP56 to IEC 60529. Type 12 to UL 50E (NEMA 12); for a Type 4X rating, choose the solid-door 1446.000. Meets the F1 outdoor rating to UL 746C. Fire protection corresponding to UL 94-V0.
