Product details
The Rittal AX 1446.000 is a portrait-format GRP compact enclosure, 400 x 600 x 200 mm (W x H x D), rated IP66 and IK09. The taller body carries a 305 x 525 mm mounting plate in 3 mm zinc-plated steel, thicker than the 2.5 mm plate used in the smaller sizes.

Typical applications
The extra height suits layouts that run top to bottom: incoming supply and protection at the top, control devices in the middle and outgoing terminals at the bottom. Typical uses are pump and fan control, outdoor lighting control and instrumentation panels at treatment works, farms and industrial yards. Where it will face long-term sun and rain, Rittal recommends a PUR paint finish to keep the surface from weathering visually. Other versions of this size: 1449.000 with a viewing window (IP56), and 9205.100 for hazardous areas.
Compliance
IP66 to IEC 60529. Type 1, 3R, 3RX, 4, 4X and 12 to UL 50E; NEMA 1, 3R, 3RX, 4, 4X and 12. Meets the F1 outdoor rating to UL 746C. Fire protection corresponding to UL 94-V0.
