Product details
The Rittal AX 1448.000 is a 400 x 400 x 200 mm (W x H x D) GRP compact enclosure with a polycarbonate viewing window in the door, rated IP56 and IK09. The window lets you read meters, displays and indicator lamps without opening the enclosure.

Typical applications
Use it where equipment needs checking at a glance: energy or flow metering, a controller status display, or indicator lamps on an outdoor pump or ventilation panel. A twin seal along the top and bottom door edges acts as a rain strip, backing up the foamed-in PU door seal. Rittal recommends spray-finishing with PUR paint if the enclosure will see long-term UV (sunlight) and rain. Where full dust-tightness matters more than visibility, choose the solid-door 1444.000.
Compliance
IP56 to IEC 60529. Type 12 to UL 50E (NEMA 12); for a Type 4X rating, choose the solid-door 1444.000. Meets the F1 outdoor rating to UL 746C. Fire protection corresponding to UL 94-V0.
