Product details
The Rittal AX 1479.000 is an 800 x 1000 x 300 mm (W x H x D) GRP compact enclosure with a polycarbonate viewing window, rated IP56 and IK09, and the largest AX GRP size we list. Its door is secured by three 3 mm double-bit locks, and the mounting plate measures 705 x 925 mm.
Key features
- Polycarbonate viewing window in the large door
- 705 x 925 mm mounting plate, 3 mm zinc-plated steel, supplied
- Three 3 mm double-bit locks; door hinged right, changeable to the left
- Non-conductive GRP, protection class II at 1000 V AC
- Foamed-in PU door seal plus twin rain-strip seal
Typical applications
For main control panels and multi-feeder distribution at outdoor or corrosive sites, where the state of controllers, meters and indicators should be visible without opening up. Plan handling and wall fixings for the fully loaded weight. IP56 is dust-protected rather than dust-tight; the solid-door 1480.000 is IP66. Where it will face long-term sun and rain, Rittal recommends a PUR paint finish to keep the surface from weathering visually.
Compliance
IP56 to IEC 60529. Type 12 to UL 50E (NEMA 12); for a Type 4X rating, choose the solid-door 1480.000. Meets the F1 outdoor rating to UL 746C. Fire protection corresponding to UL 94-V0.
