The 800 x 1000 x 400 mm Europa STB1008040A is an IP66 wall-mounting steel enclosure for electricians and panel builders who need a strong, sealed and lockable equipment housing.

Typical applications
Larger steel enclosures are specified as sub-distribution boards, motor control and drive panels, PLC and automation cabinets and equipment housings for heavy plant. Manufacturers, process operators and M&E contractors use them where a wall-mounted assembly has to hold a lot of gear and stay sealed and secure. The portrait format suits tall gear stacks and narrow wall spaces. Europa does not recommend the STB range outdoors; for exposed or corrosive sites, use the stainless SSTB range.
Compliance
Rated IP66 to EN 60529: no dust ingress, and protection against powerful water jets from any direction. The rating only holds if glands, cut-outs and the door seal are made off correctly, and Europa asks that cut surfaces are treated and swarf removed.
