The Rittal 8617.160 is a pack of four VX punched sections with a 23 x 64 mm profile, sized for a 1200 mm enclosure width or height and made from zinc-plated sheet steel, with assembly parts supplied. The section belongs to Rittal's VX system, but Rittal gives installation options for AX compact enclosures, which is why it appears on AX accessory lists.

Typical applications
Punched sections add fixing lines inside an enclosure beyond the mounting plate, giving positions for interior parts, brackets and components. They are also one of the listed mounting positions for the Rittal 2559.000 M8 earth connection, so a section can carry an earthing point where the build needs one. Outside the AX range, Rittal lists the same part in VX and VX SE enclosures and in VX base/plinth systems.
