Product details
The Terasaki 000935 shunt trip has a 24 V DC coil, the control voltage used by many PLCs, BMS controllers and safety relays. Fitted in a TemBreak 2 MCCB on the 160 A, 250 A or 400 A frame, it trips the breaker on a command from those systems, with no interposing relay needed to change voltage.
Key features
- 24 V DC coil to suit common control system voltages
- Trips the breaker when a PLC output, relay contact or pushbutton energises the coil
- Internal accessory in the trip-coil position, fitted after the front cover clips are lifted
- Uses the position shared with the under-voltage release: one per breaker
- Terminations on the accessory itself or on an optional terminal block clipped to the breaker
Typical applications
Automated shutdown of distribution circuits from a PLC or BMS, 24 V DC fire alarm interface outputs, emergency stop systems built on 24 V safety relays, and load shedding when a generator is carrying the site. A shunt trip needs power to act, so where the breaker must trip if the 24 V supply fails, specify an under-voltage release instead.
Compatible TemBreak 2 devices: S160-NF, S160-NJ and S160-GJ; S250-NJ, S250-GJ, S250-NE and S250-GE; S400-NJ, S400-NE and the S400-NN switch-disconnector, including those in Resilience panel boards.
