Product details
The Terasaki 003417 shunt trip lets a 110 V AC control circuit open a TemBreak 2 Lite circuit breaker on the 160 A or 250 A frame. Its coil is rated 100-120 V AC: put voltage across it and the breaker trips, whether the command comes from a remote off button, a relay or a fire alarm interface.

- Suits panels whose controls run from a 110 V AC control transformer, and 120 V AC supplies
- Continuously rated coil without an anti-burn switch, so the trip circuit needs no cut-off contact
- Breaker contacts normally start to open within 30 ms of rated voltage being applied
- Occupies the breaker's trip-coil position: each breaker takes a shunt trip or an under-voltage release, not both
- Works alongside auxiliary and alarm switches in the same breaker
Typical applications
Remote off buttons in a 110 V AC control circuit, tripping a supply from a fire alarm or gas detection panel, and load shedding commanded by a control system. A shunt trip needs voltage to operate, so its supply must be healthy when the trip is called for; if the breaker must also open on loss of supply, choose an under-voltage release instead.
