Product details
The Terasaki 000904 shunt trip lets you trip a TemBreak 2 MCCB from a distance. Its coil is rated 100-120 V AC, the band to pick when the trip circuit runs from a 110 V or 120 V AC control supply such as the secondary of a control transformer. Energise the coil and the breaker trips.
Key features
- Coil voltage 100-120 V AC, matched to 110 V and 120 V AC control circuits
- Trips the breaker as soon as a remote contact or pushbutton puts voltage on the coil
- Fits inside the breaker in the trip-coil position and clicks into place once the front cover clips are released with a screwdriver
- Uses the same position as the under-voltage release, so a breaker takes one or the other
- Control wiring goes to its own screw terminals, or to an optional terminal block clipped to the breaker side
Typical applications
Remote emergency switching from stop buttons in 110 V AC control schemes, trip commands from protection or earth-fault relays, and shutting down plant on a signal from a fire alarm interface or BMS. A shunt trip can only act while its control supply is healthy; where the breaker must open if that supply is lost, the fail-safe choice is an under-voltage release.
Fits TemBreak 2 S160-NF, S160-NJ, S160-GJ, S250-NJ, S250-GJ, S250-NE, S250-GE, S400-NJ and S400-NE MCCBs and the S400-NN switch-disconnector, as used in Resilience Standard and Resilience Plus panel boards. Shunt trips for other AC and DC control voltages are listed separately.
