Product details
The Terasaki 003424 is a 200-240 V AC shunt trip for TemBreak 2 Lite breakers on the 160 A and 250 A frames. On UK installations it runs straight from a 230 V phase-to-neutral supply, which makes it the simplest way to give a breaker a remote trip without adding a control transformer.
Key features
- Coil band of 200-240 V AC covers a 230 V single-phase control supply
- The coil is rated for continuous duty and has no anti-burn switch
- Opening of the main contacts usually begins within 30 ms of the coil seeing rated voltage
- Uses the breaker's single trip-coil position, which takes either this or an under-voltage release
- Auxiliary and alarm switches can be fitted in the same breaker
Typical applications
A volt-free contact in a fire alarm panel, BMS outstation or interface relay switching 230 V to trip a supply; a stop button at a plant room door; a keyswitch that turns off a ventilation or kitchen supply. If the coil is fed from the same supply the breaker controls, remember the trip only works while that supply is present.
Suitable for the S160-SCJ on the 160 A frame and for the E250-SJ, S250-SJ and S250-SN on the 250 A frame, all from the TemBreak 2 Lite range.
