Product details
The Terasaki 003585 under-voltage release has a 100-120 V DC coil for TemBreak 2 Lite breakers on the 160 A and 250 A frames. It suits switchrooms and substations with a 110 V DC battery: held in by the battery supply, it trips the breaker when a normally closed contact in its circuit opens or when the DC control supply itself is lost.
Key features
- Coil rated 100-120 V DC, exciting current 10 mA
- Instantaneous; no time delay
- A failed control supply produces a trip, rather than leaving a breaker that can no longer be tripped remotely
- Shares the breaker's single trip-coil position with the shunt trip option: one or the other
- Works with auxiliary and alarm switches in the same breaker
Typical applications
Fail-safe trip schemes in substations and industrial switchrooms run from a 110 V DC battery, tripping from protection relays with normally closed output contacts, and auxiliary supplies that must be disconnected if the DC control system fails.
For TemBreak 2 Lite S160-SCJ (160 A frame) and E250-SJ, S250-SJ and S250-SN (250 A frame) breakers.
