Product details
The Terasaki 003578 under-voltage release runs on 24 V DC and fits TemBreak 2 Lite breakers on the 160 A and 250 A frames. The breaker can only stay on while the coil is powered, so a 24 V DC safety or interlock loop wired through it trips the breaker if a contact opens, a wire breaks or the 24 V supply fails.

Typical applications
Emergency stop and door interlock circuits in machine and process panels, where normally closed contacts in series with the coil break the 24 V DC feed; gas or fume detection systems whose healthy output holds the coil in; and plant that should trip, rather than carry on, if the control power supply fails.
Fits the TemBreak 2 Lite S160-SCJ (160 A frame) and E250-SJ, S250-SJ and S250-SN (250 A frame) breakers. Size the 24 V DC supply and any interface relay for the 23 mA coil current, and remember the breaker cannot stay on while the loop is open.
