TRPDHSK2E is Terasaki's Type 2 incoming surge kit for the TRPDHINC incomer housing of a Resilience Plus panel board, the 400 A/630 A housing for an 800AF incoming device. It is installed within the housing, so adding surge protection costs the board none of its outgoing ways.

Typical applications
Type 2 devices limit transient overvoltages caused by switching and by lightning that strikes near the building or its supply rather than the building itself, and they are the common choice for distribution boards where no Type 1 requirement applies. On a Resilience Plus board fed through the 800AF incomer, that includes office blocks, hospitals, schools and industrial units. Where the building has an external lightning protection system, consider the Type 1 kit TRPDHSK1E; the installation design sets the requirement.
