TRSSPT1 is the Type 1 surge protection kit for Terasaki's Resilience Standard panel board, the wall-mounted 250 A or 400 A board that houses its incoming device and outgoing MCCBs together. The kit is installed inside the board in place of one 3-pole outgoing way and is supplied with its Type 1 surge unit.

Typical applications
Type 1 surge protective devices are intended to carry partial lightning current. They are the usual choice where the building has an external lightning protection system, or where protection against the effects of direct strikes has been specified, and they sit at or near the origin of the installation. That makes this kit a fit for a Resilience Standard board serving as the main board of an office, school, retail unit or light industrial building with that requirement. The installation design decides which type is needed; the Type 2 kit is TRSSPT2.
Fits Resilience Standard boards: 250 A versions with 4, 6, 8 or 12 outgoing ways and 400 A versions with 6, 8, 12 or 18. As the kit uses one of those ways, plan the outgoing MCCBs around it; our Panel Builder deducts the way for you when you add Type 1 surge protection.
