TRP250SK2E is Terasaki's Type 2 incoming surge kit for the 250AF incomer housing (TRP250INC) on Resilience Plus panel boards. It mounts inside the incomer housing, so surge protection is added without giving up an outgoing way on the board.

Typical applications
Type 2 devices limit transient overvoltages caused by switching and by lightning that strikes near the building or its supply rather than the building itself, and they are the common choice for distribution boards where no Type 1 requirement applies. That covers offices, schools, retail and industrial distribution fed from a 400 A Resilience Plus board. Where the building has an external lightning protection system, the Type 1 kit TRP250SK1E may be needed instead; the installation design decides.
For TRP250INC housings on 400 A Resilience Plus boards with an incoming device up to 250 A. The 800AF housing takes TRPDHSK2E and the 1250AF housing TRPHXSK2E. Our Panel Builder adds the right kit once you choose the incomer housing and Type 2 protection.
