TRSSPT2 is Terasaki's Type 2 surge protection kit for the Resilience Standard MCCB panel board. It goes inside the board, occupying one 3-pole outgoing way, and the Type 2 surge unit comes as part of the kit.

Typical applications
Type 2 devices limit transient overvoltages caused by switching and by lightning that strikes near the building or its supply rather than the building itself, and they are the common choice for distribution boards where no Type 1 requirement applies. Typical settings are commercial fit-outs, education and healthcare buildings, control and IT loads, and industrial sub-distribution.
