This is the remote-signalling version of DEHN's single-phase combined arrester. Alongside the same spark-gap performance - 50kA total lightning impulse current and a 1.5kV protection level - it carries a changeover contact rated 250V/0.5A a.c., so the installation reports the state of its own front-line protection.

Energy coordination is declared with Type 2 equipment and with Type 3 equipment within 5m. BS 7671 requires transient overvoltage risk to be assessed and appropriate protection provided.
