The Terasaki 002489 auxiliary switch (AX) adds one changeover contact to a TemBreak 2 Lite moulded-case circuit breaker on the 160 A or 250 A frame. The contact moves with the breaker's main contacts and gives a volt-free status signal from inside the breaker, so no extra space is needed in the panel.

- One changeover contact: 11 is the common, 11-14 closes when the breaker is switched on and 11-12 closes when it is off or tripped
- Sits in the breaker's internal accessory compartment, under a cover released by a single screw
- One part for both the 160 A and the 250 A frame
- Terasaki's wiring diagrams cover one, two or four auxiliary switches per breaker, numbered 11-14 through to 41-44
- Can share a breaker with an alarm switch and with either a shunt trip or an under-voltage release
Typical applications
Sending the on/off state of an outgoing way to a BMS, PLC or SCADA input, switching a position lamp on a panel door, and interlocking control circuits with the breaker. The contact gives the same reading for a manual switch-off and for a trip; if you need to tell the two apart, add an alarm switch (Terasaki 002557).
Fits the TemBreak 2 Lite breakers in our range: the S160-SCJ on the 160 A frame, and the E250-SJ, S250-SJ and S250-SN switch-disconnector on the 250 A frame. This is the standard switch; below 15 V DC and 100 mA, Terasaki make a separate low-current version.
