Product details
The Terasaki 000744 alarm switch (AL) flags a tripped breaker. Installed inside a TemBreak 2 MCCB on the 160 A, 250 A or 400 A frame, it ignores normal switching and changes state only when the breaker trips, so a fault can be reported remotely without raising an alarm every time someone switches the circuit off.
Key features
- Reacts to a trip only, not to deliberate ON or OFF operation
- Sits in its own pocket under the breaker's front cover: unclip the cover with a screwdriver and push the switch home until it clicks
- Field-fittable, and colour-coded so it is easy to tell apart from an auxiliary switch
- Terminates on its own screw terminals or on an optional terminal block clipped to the side of the breaker
- Endurance tested to the same level as the breaker; packed singly with instructions
Typical applications
Trip alarms to a BMS or SCADA system, fault beacons and sounders, alarm inputs on generator, UPS and plant control panels, and remote fault reporting from unmanned switchrooms. Wired together with an auxiliary switch, it lets a control system tell a breaker switched off by hand from one that has tripped on a fault.
For TemBreak 2 S160-NF, S160-NJ, S160-GJ, S250-NJ, S250-GJ, S250-NE, S250-GE, S400-NJ and S400-NE MCCBs and the S400-NN switch-disconnector, including those in Resilience Standard and Resilience Plus panel boards. General-purpose and heavy-duty status switches cannot be combined in one breaker, so if switches are already fitted, check the type with us first.
Genuine Terasaki product. Add it to your cart and fit it the next time the breaker is isolated.
