Product details
The Terasaki 000348 auxiliary switch (AX) reports the contact position of a TemBreak 2 MCCB. Fitted inside a breaker on the 160 A, 250 A or 400 A frame, it gives a building management system, PLC or indicator lamp an electrical signal of whether the breaker is ON or OFF.
Key features
- Signals ON or OFF; a tripped breaker reads as OFF, so add an alarm switch (AL) where trips must be reported on their own
- Internal accessory: release the front cover clips with a screwdriver, press the switch into its pocket until it clicks, then refit the cover
- Can be added on site later, with nothing more than a screwdriver
- Wire to the switch's own screw terminals, or to the optional terminal block that clips onto the side of the breaker
- Colour-coded, individually packed and supplied with fitting instructions
Typical applications
Open/closed feedback from incomers and outgoing ways to a BMS, PLC or SCADA system, ON/OFF indicator lamps on panel doors, and interlocking or sequencing schemes that must confirm a breaker's position before the next step, such as a mains and generator changeover. It suits the TemBreak 2 breakers used in Resilience Standard and Resilience Plus panel boards.
Fits TemBreak 2 S160-NF, S160-NJ and S160-GJ (160 A frame), S250-NJ, S250-GJ, S250-NE and S250-GE (250 A frame), S400-NJ and S400-NE MCCBs and the S400-NN switch-disconnector (400 A frame). Terasaki offers general-purpose and heavy-duty status switches, and one breaker cannot mix the two; if status switches are already fitted, ask us to confirm the type before you order.
