The DSH TN 255 is DEHNshield configured for single-phase TN systems. It packs combined Type 1 and Type 2 duty into two DIN modules, carries 12.5kA of lightning impulse current per conductor and holds the protection level at 1.5kV - enough to protect terminal equipment directly on a simple installation.

Typical applications

It is the sensible Type 1 choice where a full four-module arrester cannot be accommodated.
Compliance
Tested as a Type 1 + Type 2 / Class I + Class II device to EN 61643-11 and IEC 61643-11, with KEMA, VDE and UL approvals, a UL 94 V-0 enclosure and IP20 protection. BS 7671 requires transient overvoltage risk to be assessed, with Type 1 protection where partial lightning current may enter the installation.
