The DEHNguard DG M TN 275 is the workhorse Type 2 arrester for single-phase TN boards. Two DIN modules, prewired, with a 20kA nominal discharge current and a let-through voltage held to 1.25kV - enough headroom for the switching and induced surges that reach a distribution board day to day.

Typical applications

It is also the natural second stage downstream of a Type 1 arrester at the origin of a building with a lightning protection system.
Compliance
Tested as a Type 2 device to EN 61643-11 and Class II to IEC 61643-1, with KEMA, VDE, UL and VdS approvals and a UL 94 V-0 enclosure rated IP20. BS 7671 requires the risk from transient overvoltages to be assessed, with coordinated surge protection provided where the consequences justify it.
