The Europa 16 A 110 V 2P+E weatherproof interlocked socket is built for the wet end of site work: an IEC 60309 outlet and a mechanically interlocked isolating switch in an IP67 enclosure that shrugs off rain, hosing and standing water.

Typical applications
Outdoor site power, temporary lighting, welfare cabins and wash-down areas using 110 V reduced low voltage equipment of up to about 1.8 kVA. IP67 is the rating to specify where a socket can be rained on, hosed down or left standing in water.
Compliance
IP67, as defined in BS EN 60529, means dust-tight and able to withstand the effects of temporary immersion in water, and is the rating to specify for outdoor, wash-down and flood-prone positions. The rating applies to the unit as installed, with a matching plug or the outlet cover correctly in place. The outlet follows the IEC 60309 industrial pin-and-sleeve pattern. There is no integral residual current protection in this range, so RCD protection must be provided upstream where BS 7671 requires it.
