The Rittal AX 9205.100 is a portrait-format GRP enclosure for hazardous areas, 400 x 600 x 200 mm (W x H x D), rated IP65 and IK09, for Zones 1/2 or 21/22 to ATEX 2014/34/EU. It carries a 305 x 525 mm mounting plate in 3 mm zinc-plated steel, thicker than the 2.5 mm plate in the smaller Ex sizes.

Typical applications
The extra height suits vertical terminal rails and top-to-bottom layouts: taller marshalling boxes, control stations with more devices, or heat-tracing distribution in chemical, pharmaceutical, distillery and fuel-handling areas. The standard (non-Ex) AX GRP enclosure of the same size is 1446.000.
Compliance
Zones 1 and 2 (gas) or 21 and 22 (dust) to ATEX 2014/34/EU. Types of protection to EN 60079: increased safety (Ex e) and protection by enclosure (Ex tb). Component certificates PTB 03 ATEX 1011U and IECEx PTB 10.0011U: 'U' denotes a component certificate, covering the enclosure as supplied, not finished equipment. Whoever builds the finished assembly, including its installed equipment, cable entries and any machining, must have it assessed and certified for its application. IP65 to IEC 60529; NEMA Type 1, 3R, 3RX, 4, 4X and 12.
