The Europa Sentinel SLCU6EV40B is a six-module metal-clad EV charger supply board fitted with a 100A main switch, a 40A MCB and a Type B RCCB. The Type B device is the reason to choose this board: it detects smooth DC residual current as well as the AC and pulsating DC currents a Type A device covers, which is what BS 7671 calls for where the charging equipment does not itself provide protection against DC fault current.

Compliance
Built to BS EN 61439-3, with the fitted devices declared to BS EN 60947-3 (main switch), BS EN 61008-1 (RCCB) and BS EN 60898-1 (MCB). Europa states that the range is designed to meet the requirements of the 18th Edition of BS 7671. The board is rated IP20 and is for indoor installation only, so an outdoor charge point must be fed from a board sited inside the building.
