Heavier reduced low voltage plant needs more than a 16 A outlet. The Europa 32 A 110 V 2P+E horizontal socket provides a fixed, IP44-rated 110 V connection point for larger site tools, heaters and the links between site transformers and temporary distribution.

Typical applications

The IP44 rating is defined in BS EN 60529 as protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm and against splashing water from any direction, which covers indoor workshops, plant rooms and sheltered external positions but not wash-down bays or fully exposed sites; specify an IP65 or IP67 socket for those. The outlet follows the IEC 60309 industrial pin-and-sleeve pattern, which fixes pin arrangement, colour and keying by voltage band so that plugs and sockets from different makers interconnect safely.
