The Europa 32 A 415 V 3P+E interlocked switch socket puts isolation, connection and Type A residual current protection at the machine. The switch and socket are mechanically interlocked, so the supply is always dead before the plug moves.

Typical applications
For three-phase plant of around 23 kVA with no neutral requirement, such as compressors, chillers, mixers, hoists and machine tools. The interlock stops the socket being made or broken under load, which is where arcing, pitted pins and flashover risk come from.
Compliance
IP65 is defined in BS EN 60529 as dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, suiting wash-down bays, external walls and dusty production areas. The outlet follows the IEC 60309 industrial pattern for pin arrangement, colour and voltage keying. Note that an RCCB provides residual current protection only: overcurrent protection for the circuit must still be provided upstream by a correctly rated fuse or circuit breaker, and the installation designed and tested to BS 7671.
