Product details
Plugging and unplugging under load is how plug pins get burnt and operators get hurt. The Europa 16 A 230 V 2P+E interlocked switch socket removes that possibility, and adds Type A residual current protection behind an IP65 enclosure.

Typical applications
Typical for single-phase machinery of up to roughly 3.7 kVA, including extraction units, bench machines, chargers, cleaning equipment and outdoor power points. The local switch gives maintenance staff a visible off position at the machine, and the RCCB covers the trailing lead as well as the equipment.
Compliance
IP65 is defined in BS EN 60529 as dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, suiting wash-down bays, external walls and dusty production areas. The outlet follows the IEC 60309 industrial pattern for pin arrangement, colour and voltage keying. Note that an RCCB provides residual current protection only: overcurrent protection for the circuit must still be provided upstream by a correctly rated fuse or circuit breaker, and the installation designed and tested to BS 7671.
