Buying guide
An 800 A panel board feeds the larger sub-mains of a commercial or industrial building. The Terasaki Resilience Plus boards at this rating are modular: the incomer housing stands beside the board, the outgoing ways take TemBreak 2 MCCBs up to 250 A (or two 400 AF devices on the twin board), and cableways, general purpose enclosures and service centres bolt on to match.
Choose the number of ways (6, 12 or 18), whether the outgoing MCCBs are thermal-magnetic only or the hybrid version that also takes electronic trip units, and Form 3a or Form 3b Type 2 separation. The Panel Builder then adds the incomer housing, the incoming device, the neutral link and the kits that fit.
Questions
- How do I get the full 800 A?
- The incomer must be a 1250 AF device rated 800 A in the 1250 AF incomer housing. An 800 A board fed from the 800 AF housing is limited to 630 A.
- What is the twin 400 AF board?
- An 800 A board with two outgoing ways for 400 AF MCCBs, thermal-magnetic or electronic, in Form 3a. It suits two large sub-circuits rather than many small ones.
- Can outgoing circuits be metered?
- Yes, with meters mounted in the side cableways, one current transformer per circuit, and a cableway metering door kit.
