Product details
The Europa 240 x 320 x 180 mm IP67 insulated adaptable box with a clear polycarbonate lid is for junction, marshalling and small control work in the wettest positions on site. IP67 means dust-tight plus protection against temporary immersion, so it copes with standing water and washdown rather than just splashes. The clear lid earns its keep at commissioning: terminals, fuses and indicator lamps can be checked without breaking the seal. Inside there is room for deeper equipment - a drive, a transformer or a two-tier terminal arrangement.

Typical applications
Used for drive and starter housings on outdoor machinery, water and wastewater plant, and process installations where the box is washed down or exposed. Boxes at this rating are specified where a splash-proof box would not survive: low-level positions that flood, washdown areas, exposed outdoor plant, and temporary or site supplies.
Compliance
IP67, as defined by the IP code in BS EN 60529, means dust-tight and protected against the effects of temporary immersion in water - a meaningful step up from IP65 for anything mounted low down, in a bund, or hosed rather than wiped. The rating depends on the lid being correctly fitted and on glands of an equal or better rating.
