Terasaki Resilience panel boards

What the Resilience Standard and Resilience Plus boards are, which to choose, what goes into a complete board, and how to configure one online in minutes.

Two ranges, one family

Terasaki's Resilience panel boards are wall-mounted MCCB distribution boards built around the TemBreak 2 and TemBreak 2 Lite moulded-case circuit breakers. Both ranges are manufactured, assembled and tested in the UK and are designed to the requirements of BS EN 61439-2.

Choose Resilience Standard for a compact single board up to 400 A with outgoing circuits up to 125 A, where the doors and the incomer position come as part of the board.

Choose Resilience Plus when you need up to 800 A, outgoing MCCBs up to 250 A (or two 400 A ways on the twin board), electronic trip units, Form 3a, or room to grow with add-on enclosures, cableways and stacked boards.

What makes up a complete board

  1. The board - the chassis with the busbars and the outgoing way positions.
  2. The incomer - on Standard, an MCCB or switch-disconnector fitted in the integral position; on Plus, an incomer housing (or a direct connection kit) plus the incoming device. A 3-pole incomer needs the matching neutral link.
  3. Outgoing MCCBs - one 3-pole MCCB per way, or up to three single-pole MCCBs in a way; blank pieces cover unused ways.
  4. Surge protection and metering - optional kits that fit the board or the incomer housing.
  5. Finishing - door kits, cableways, cableway metering door kits, general purpose add-on enclosures and service centres on Plus; cable spreader boxes and service centres on Standard.

The Panel Builder makes these choices in order, only offers parts that fit, adds the dependent parts for you (housing, neutral link, kits) and prices the board at our prices as you go.

Kit of parts, or built and tested

Every configured board can be supplied as a kit of parts for your own panel shop, or built and tested by our workshop, with the MCCBs fitted and set, the metering and surge wired, and the board tested before it leaves us. Loose parts are usually dispatched in usually 3-5 working days; a built board takes 8-12 working days. Boards travel on a pallet, so we quote delivery with your price. Our panel building service covers anything outside the standard range.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a Resilience board as a sub-main board? Yes. Both ranges are distribution boards for commercial and industrial installations: the incomer takes the sub-main cable and each outgoing MCCB feeds a final circuit or a further board.

What is the difference between Form 3a and Form 3b? Both separate the busbars from the functional units and the units from each other. Form 3b Type 2 also separates the outgoing terminals from the busbars with rigid barriers, so a terminal can be worked on with less exposure to the live busbars. Resilience Standard is Form 3b Type 2 as standard; Resilience Plus offers both.

Do I need an electronic MCCB? Electronic trip units give adjustable long-time, short-time and instantaneous settings and closer discrimination between boards. On Resilience Plus the hybrid boards accept thermal-magnetic and electronic outgoing MCCBs in the same board.

How is the board metered? With a meter kit for the incomer (standard or MID-approved for tenant billing) and, for outgoing circuits, meters mounted in a service centre (Standard) or in the side cableways (Plus), each with its own current transformer.

Can I order just the parts? Yes. Every part in the range has its own page in the shop and can be added to your cart; the boards, housings, cableways and other pallet items are quoted.
